How HealthReviewNetwork Produces Its Content

HealthReviewNetwork is an independent health and wellness publication. We are not owned by, affiliated with, or funded by any pharmaceutical company, supplement manufacturer, or healthcare provider. Our editorial decisions are made independently of any commercial relationship.

This page explains how we research, write, review, and maintain the content published on this site.

Our Editorial Standards

Every article published on HealthReviewNetwork must meet the following criteria before publication:

  • Claims must be supported by referenced sources including peer-reviewed studies, clinical guidelines, official health body publications (NHS, WHO, NICE, NIH), or established medical textbooks.
  • Personal experience and anecdotal evidence are clearly labelled as such and never presented as clinical fact.
  • Product reviews are based on ingredient analysis, published research on active compounds, manufacturer transparency, and aggregated user feedback. We do not accept payment from manufacturers in exchange for favourable reviews.
  • Headlines accurately reflect article content. We do not use misleading or sensationalised titles to drive clicks.

Who Writes Our Content

All content is written or commissioned by our editorial team under the supervision of Brad Turner, Health Research Specialist. Contributors are selected based on demonstrated knowledge in their respective health and wellness topics.

Each article displays the author name and a link to their full bio page where readers can review the writer’s background, qualifications, and published work.

How We Research

Our standard research process for health articles follows this approach:

We begin with current clinical literature sourced from databases including PubMed, Cochrane Library, and Google Scholar. We cross-reference findings against guidelines published by recognised health authorities such as the NHS, NICE, WHO, and relevant specialist bodies. Where conflicting evidence exists we present both positions and note the strength of evidence supporting each. We do not cherry-pick studies to support a predetermined conclusion.

For product and supplement reviews we examine the published research behind individual active ingredients rather than relying on manufacturer marketing claims. We assess dosage levels against clinically studied amounts, review third-party testing certifications where available, and evaluate manufacturer reputation including transparency about sourcing and manufacturing processes.

Medical Review Process

Health content covering conditions, symptoms, treatments, medications, or supplement interactions is reviewed by a qualified health professional before publication. Reviewed articles carry a “Medically reviewed by” byline with the reviewer’s name and credentials displayed.

Medical review involves checking factual accuracy of health claims, verifying that referenced studies are correctly cited and not misrepresented, ensuring appropriate language distinguishing between established medical consensus and emerging research, and flagging any content that could be misinterpreted as personalised medical advice.

Our medical review process does not replace the advice of your own healthcare provider. It exists to maintain a minimum standard of factual accuracy across our published content.

How We Handle Corrections

If we discover an error in any published article, whether identified internally or reported by a reader, we correct it promptly. Significant factual corrections are noted at the bottom of the article with the date the correction was made. Minor corrections such as typographical errors or broken links are made without notation.

If you believe any content on this site contains an inaccuracy, please contact us at [email protected] and include the article URL and the specific claim you believe is incorrect along with your suggested correction or source. We review every submission.

Content Updates and Freshness

Health information changes as new research is published and clinical guidelines are revised. We periodically review existing articles to ensure they reflect current evidence. Each article displays a “last reviewed” date indicating when it was most recently checked for accuracy.

Articles covering rapidly evolving topics such as emerging treatments, regulatory changes, or newly published clinical trials are prioritised for more frequent review.

Affiliate Content and Commercial Relationships

HealthReviewNetwork earns revenue through affiliate partnerships. Some articles contain links to products or services. When you purchase through these links we may receive a commission at no additional cost to you.

Affiliate relationships never influence our editorial assessment of a product. Products are evaluated on the same criteria regardless of whether an affiliate relationship exists. We have published and will continue to publish negative reviews of products where our research warrants it, including products for which we hold an active affiliate partnership.

Our full commercial disclosure is available on our dedicated Affiliate Disclosure page.

Editorial Independence

No advertiser, affiliate partner, sponsor, or external party has editorial control over our content. Sponsored content, if ever published, will be clearly and prominently labelled as such. To date HealthReviewNetwork has not published any sponsored editorial content.
